Project Description

The book on Natural history Painting of the Mughal period celebrate all aspects of India’s natural , tangible & intangible heritage in a graphic and memorable way.  Ustad Mansur is considered one of the greatest natural history painters of all time.  Inspite of his pre eminent as a painter and illuminator of manuscripts, no biographical information about Ustad is known, not even the year of his death.  This book presents a detailed study of Ustad Mansur’s work in different genres, including some never before published.   Asok Kumar Das , a well known scholar has compiled the information beautifully.
