Project Description

The National Culture Fund  assisted in the design, preparation and production of a high quality publication series titled “Treasures of Indian Museums”. This publication series was envisaged by the Ministry of Culture to bring unique cultural assets, civilizational objects, their history and people to Indian and international audiences. Through this project, shortlisted museums provided text and high resolution photographs for 100 objects from their museums to be included in the publication. Each book has an introduction to the museum followed by one hundred treasures that have been selected by the Director and staff of the specific museum set in broad thematic sections.
